Background
Cider maker James Pearce came to us and asked: how do we launch a genuine, natural, and classic-styled craft cider that feels premium, bucks the market conventions and leaves a mark on the competition?
The core of this brief sought to reject typical staid category clichés — sweeping pruned orchards, impossibly perfect apples, tractors and dusty farmhouses etc — whilst also swerving the punky aesthetic craft brands otherwise roll with. We crafted a brand around a simple concept: ‘dolce vita cider .’ This drove an elegant and timeless, understated aesthetic, beautifully classic in spirit and style.
We worked closely with James to craft the brand proposition and soul, identity, label design and visual messaging, applying finally to art direction of product photography and a Shopify website.
