We began the process with a workshop to determine the objective for each section and to clarify what content and imagery were needed to achieve this. On a page by page basis, we evaluated their effectiveness and studied how we could guide users through their experience.

Using interactive wireframes the in-house team were able to extensively user-test and assess how behaviours before development commenced. This saved both time and development costs, resolving issues these early stages.

From our initial consultation, it was clear that a significant percentage of visitors came via mobile devices, this, therefore, drove a mobile-first development strategy. 

We took advantage of Fisher’s impressive client list and their huge bank of imagery to showcase their work and services portfolio. A bespoke tagging and filter system was developed to enable visitors to find projects easily. With a vast venue and client list, projects are indexed and searchable by venue, client, industry or service type.

To enhance the accessibility of the website we adopted a responsive design. In doing this, the layout of the site adapts to suit all devices; whether a phone, tablet or desktop. This future-proof approach ensures that when a new device is launched to the market it will automatically work without needing adjustment. 

The site was built using an open source CMS which makes upkeep a breeze. In addition, we created a bespoke section to facilitate Fisher’s extensive range of hire products swift administration of stock.
