Experienced UX/UI Designer

Experienced, talented UX/UI designer with a passion for defining beautiful, user friendly digital journeys.

The position

We have a vacancy for an experienced creative, UX/UI designer with a passion for defining beautiful, user friendly digital journeys. You should love the web. You should live to solve problems. You will be responsible for planning the architecture of a website and working alongside our graphics and development team to ensure your designs are perfectly reproduced – working on projects such as www.faw.cymru, www.millview.wales, www.ecube.aero and www.newportlive.com.

Essential requirements

  • have a degree in digital design, multi-media or equivalent
  • have 2+ years studio experience of both planning, wireframing and designing for digital
  • be adaptable
  • able to work on your own and as part of a small team
  • be a problem-solver, design thinker with a user-centric mindset
  • be fanatical about the details
  • be highly creative with an analytical approach
  • have an understanding of interaction design principles
  • be proficient with industry tools such as Sketch, InVision & Miro or alternatives
  • have an ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences.
  • live locally.

Expected skillset

  • plan and conduct user research, workshops and competitor analysis
  • interpret data and qualitative feedback
  • create user stories, personas, and storyboards
  • determine information architecture and create sitemaps
  • create prototypes and wireframes
  • conduct usability testing.
